Chris Lawrence grew up in the small town of Pascagoula, MS. Along with his seven siblings, as a young athlete, he had the honor of being coached by his father who introduced soccer to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His father’s mentorship began his passion for athletics and team sports in which Coach Lawrence has carried throughout his life. Coach Lawrence has over four decades of experience in soccer, which includes roles as an athlete, referee, and coach. As an athlete, he has played on both local, collegiate, and international levels. His primary goal as a coach is to improve the overall skill set of each athlete while developing a strategic team mindset. Coach Lawrence enjoys collaborating with the coaching staff and athletes throughout the organizations and the school system. He is honored to be able to share the skills that he has achieved throughout the years as an athlete and to continue his father’s legacy as a coach in the sport. When Coach Lawrence is not spending time on the soccer field for Thales Academy, he is employed at Nova Nordisk as their Senior Systems Database Engineer in their Global IT Operations division. Coach Lawrence, along with his wife Angelina, enjoys volunteering in their community, traveling, and spending time with their friends and family.

Coach Lawrence received a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from University of Southern Mississippi.
